Leading Cannabis Law Firm Vicente Sederberg Makes Two Strategic New Hires

Vicente Sederberg LLP, a leading cannabis-centric law firm, has made two strategic appointments that will help the company expand its expertise in the legal New York market. Vicente Sederberg LLP has been at the forefront of cannabis policy for over a decade and has helped dozens of public and private sector clients navigate cannabis and hemp laws across the U.S. and around the world.

The first strategic hire is Elliot Choi who's a Law graduate from the University of Pennsylvania while the second hire is Francis L Gorman, a Law graduate from Syracuse University.

Elliot Choi is joining Vicente Sederberg as the Chief Knowledge Officer. He brings on board 17 solid years of experience in the legal field, having served previously as the General Counsel of TerrAscend. Choi has played a key role in building systems for an influential multi-state operator (MSO).

As a native New Yorker with extensive legal experience in cannabis law, he's best placed to handle the responsibilities that come with the role of Chief Knowledge Officer. He is the first to be appointed to this newly created role at Vicente Sederberg.

F. L. Gorman joins Vicente Sederberg as a partner and brings on board 30 solid years of legal experience.  Gorman is coming from Harris Beach PLLC where he served as both partner and co-leader of the real estate developers and cannabis industry teams. This positions him as the ideal candidate to help Vicente Sederberg expand its cannabis real estate and zoning reach.

In 2018, the New York legal cannabis market was valued at $1.8 billion and the market has been projected to grow steadily at a CAGR of 14.7% up to the year 2025 when it will have achieved a value of $7 billion, according to Grandview Research. With these new appointments, Vicente Sederberg is set to rubberstamp its position as the legal leader in the New York market and beyond.
