In a significant operation on Monday, Dundee police confiscated thousands of cannabis plants with an estimated street value exceeding £2.25 million. The raid, executed at two properties in Lorne Street and Ash Street, resulted in the arrest and charging of four individuals, aged between 26 and 36, on drug-related offenses.

Scheduled to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court later on Tuesday, the suspects are linked to the cultivation and possession of the substantial quantity of cannabis plants. Detective Constable Chris Grieve emphasized the magnitude of the recovery, stating, “This is a substantial recovery and highlights our continued commitment to the Serious Organized Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organized Crime Strategy.”

The police operation, part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activities, underscores the authorities' determination to prevent the sale and distribution of narcotics within local communities. Detective Constable Grieve affirmed, “We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to prevent the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in our communities.”
