Who we are
MyCannabis.com is an online publication covering cannabis, hemp, CBD, wellness, science, policy, products, and related topics. Our website address is https://www.mycannabis.com/. You can find more information about our team on our team page, and you can contact us through our contact page.
Summary
We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to operate, secure, and display the website. As of the date above, our public website uses limited operational cookies for security and language/site-display purposes. In the July 7, 2026 technical audit, we did not observe Google Analytics cookies, advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or social media tracking pixels being set for ordinary public visitors.
The site also makes limited requests to service providers that help us deliver, secure, measure, and display the website. These services may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URL, timestamps, and performance or security signals.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us
If you contact us, submit information through a form, apply for a listing, participate in a business relationship, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, company, message content, and related correspondence.
Technical information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring page, timestamps, error logs, performance data, language/display settings, and security signals.
Interactive pages and embedded media
Some MyCannabis.com pages display guides, media, images, or embedded content. These pages may request resources from MyCannabis.com-controlled endpoints or third-party media providers. These requests help deliver the page content and may include standard technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamps.
Cookies and similar technologies
In a technical audit performed on July 7, 2026, clean browser visits to sampled public pages showed limited operational cookies, including Cloudflare security cookies such as cf_clearance where Cloudflare challenge/security checks apply, and language/site-display cookies such as lsw_.... These cookies support site security, bot protection, language handling, and page display.
We did not observe Google Analytics cookies, advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, social media tracking pixels, local storage, or session storage in the audited public-site configuration.
If you log in to WordPress or use administrative functions, WordPress and security tools may use essential cookies to authenticate your session, protect the site, and remember administrative preferences. These administrative cookies are not part of the ordinary public visitor experience.
If we later add non-essential analytics cookies, advertising tags, remarketing pixels, social media tracking pixels, or similar tracking technologies for public visitors, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent before those technologies are used.
Service providers and external requests
Our current public-site configuration may load or request resources from the following services:
- Cloudflare: used for security, performance, caching, site delivery, bot protection, and limited performance telemetry such as Cloudflare Insights.
- Google Tag Manager: currently present on the public site. In the July 7, 2026 audit, the downloaded container did not show configured public tracking tags that set Google Analytics or advertising cookies.
- YouTube / Google media resources: may be requested when pages include video or related media assets.
- Gravatar: may be requested where WordPress author or comment avatar functionality is displayed.
- Twemoji / MaxCDN: used to display emoji assets where needed.
These providers may process technical request information when your browser requests their resources. We use these services to operate, secure, improve, and display the site.
Embedded content and outbound links
Articles may include links to other websites or, in some cases, embedded content such as videos, charts, images, or documents. Embedded content from another website behaves as if you visited that website directly. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, or track your interaction according to their own policies.
How we use information
We use information for the following purposes:
- to operate, secure, and maintain the website;
- to respond to messages, requests, applications, and business inquiries;
- to display articles, guides, product information, and interactive site features;
- to remember or support language and site-display preferences;
- to detect and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and technical faults;
- to understand site performance and reliability; and
- to comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or security obligations.
Legal bases for processing
Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include:
- Legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, maintaining, and improving the website, preventing abuse, supporting language/display functionality, and responding to business inquiries;
- Consent, where we ask for your permission for a specific use;
- Contract or pre-contractual steps, where processing is needed to respond to a request or provide a service you asked for; and
- Legal obligation, where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, operate, monitor, or improve the site, or when required to comply with law, protect rights, prevent fraud or abuse, or complete a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
How long we retain information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Server, security, and performance logs are typically retained for limited operational periods, though exact periods may vary by provider and security need. Messages and business correspondence may be retained as needed to manage our relationship, keep business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a privacy request, please contact us through our contact page. We may need to verify your request before responding.

Our website and service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other locations where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing.
Children
MyCannabis.com is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
