What to Expect at a Multi-Course Infused Dinner in Las Vegas

As the cannabis industry and the normalization of cannabis and infusions in cuisine expand, so too do the opportunities for Vegas cannabis-infused dinners and cannabis-centric events. Whereas consumption at cannabis organization meetings and events was either prohibited outright or heavily restricted previously here in Nevada, private venues and residences have started hosting some innovative and delicious events where consumption rules are far more relaxed.

Meet the Team: Mistyland Edibles & Dope Dining

One series of events in Las Vegas, where consumption is more than permitted, is the ongoing dinner collaborations with one of the city’s most talented photographers and documentarians, Shannon Dorn and Dope Dining, and an equally talented cannabis chef and owner of the Mistyland edibles brand, Misty.

Rather than preparing only a couple of dishes with a small amount of infusion for a handful of people, Dope Dining and Misty’s Mistyland brand prepare a multi-course dinner that can easily extend beyond six courses. The diverse list of delectable dishes and desserts would make even Gordon Ramsay scream with envy instead of screaming over misplaced lamb sauce.

Customizable Infusion Options

Even better, every single one of those courses has the option for infusion or non-infusion. The particular dinner that I had the honor of attending was Mexican-inspired and incorporated many of Mexico’s most iconic foods, with everything from guacamole to enchiladas to carne asada and even elote. Not only were the six courses all incredible, but the dinners also allowed their attendees to consume at their own comfort level.

Mexican-Inspired Multi-Course Menu

And as opposed to only having cannabis inclusions within the served dishes themselves, Misty and Dope Dining use these dinners to operate a bit like a wine and food pairing dinner, but obviously with Willie Nelson’s favorite plant instead of wine. To amplify the true sense of community that these dinners run on and easily generate as the dishes are being consumed, Misty and Dope Dining collaborate with and promote popular Nevada cannabis brands such as Nature’s Chemistry and Kynd.

Grilled Pineapple Carne Asada Tacos + Pineapple Fanta Preroll

The cannabis pairings with their respective dishes also perfectly showcased the level of detail that Mistyland and Dope Dining put into designing the specifics of their menus and catering experiences that only Michelin-star chefs or Willy Wonka could replicate. For instance, a preroll of Nature’s Chemistry’s Pineapple Fanta strain was paired with the Grilled Pineapple Carne Asada Street Tacos.

Citrus Shrimp Ceviche + Kalvara Citrus Twist Drink

The Citrus Shrimp Ceviche was served with a Kalvara Citrus Twist drink.

Coconut Tres Leche Cake + Coconut Milk Strain

The sixth and final dessert course, Coconut Tres Leche Cake, was paired with another acclaimed cannabis strain from Nature’s Chemistry with an equally fitting name, Coconut Milk.

Community & Brand Collaborations

In keeping with the sense of community and highlighting local brands, other popular elixir and accessory brands, such as Sip and the very gothic-designed Calavera blunt wraps, had booths showcasing their own goods. And because the dinner was hosted in a private residence, attendees could add whichever Sip elixir their heart desires to their drinks or their roll and consume a blunt with a Calavara wrap right there at the event.

Interactive Finale: Cactus Piñata Fun

The fantastic dinner ended with everyone’s favorite bat-swinging game, which isn’t baseball and regularly involves way more candy than an MLB game, of course, the piñata. In accordance with Las Vegas’s location in the desert, the piñata had to be cactus-shaped.

What Attendees Are Saying

Understandably, the dinners have been receiving raving reviews and a great excitement for future dinners. The attendance of the dinners has easily exceeded 40 people and because community is a cornerstone value of the dinners, the attendees consist of cannabis professionals and entrepreneurs representing all sectors of both the direct and ancillary industries as well.

“There is not a better night in Las Vegas than a multicourse cannabis-infused delicious dinner curated by Misty of Mistyland Edibles!

For a variety of reasons, half of my meal I chose to try without the infusion and the whole experience was a delicious and enjoyable night.”

Doreen Sullivan, Founder of My Bud Vase

“Unmatched vibes!! It’s a beautiful thing when our community comes together! This was an incredible dinner by Mistyland and Dope Dining! With the Mistyland experience, I loved being outdoors and having our favorite flowers added to the incredible dishes we were served.

The food was so good. My favorite pairing of the night was the Cereal Milk flower from Rythm (RYM ) Cannabis with the fried ice cream! Both creamy and delicious. Can’t wait for the next one!”

Maggie Presley, Wholesale Director for GTI Nevada

What’s Next: Upcoming Brunch & Italian Dinners

Luckily for the Las Vegas cannabis community, Mistyland and Dope Dining certainly do have future plans for more cannabis-centric multi-course meals, and those dinners will feature other genres of cuisine. Specifically, Mistyland hinted at both a brunch event and a dinner featuring Italian dishes.
