Dr. Worster earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she developed a passion for caring for underserved patients with serious illnesses. She went on to complete a fellowship in Pain and Palliative Medicine at the Harvard MGH/Dana-Farber program in Boston. Dr. Worster now leads efforts to build a comprehensive Supportive Medicine and Cancer Survivorship Program within the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and is involved in expanding palliative care across transitional, home-based, and nursing home settings. Her research centers on improving quality of life for patients with serious illness, including evaluating the benefits and risks of medical cannabis compared to conventional pain therapies, and advancing interprofessional, team-based approaches to patient and family care.
