Neha: Growing up in India, I was raised with a fear of drugs due to my family’s strong cultural and religious background. However, my journey into cannabis began when I pursued my PhD in pharmaceutical drug development in the United States. During my studies, I became part of a top-tier lab specializing in solubilization, leading me to work on a secret project for developing drug delivery systems for cannabinoids. As a responsible scientist, I delved into researching the clinical database of cannabis to ensure it wouldn’t lead to another opioid-like crisis. This exploration involved consulting with Native American shamans, practitioners of Indian traditional medicine systems like Siddha, and yoga masters. Through these experiences, I discovered the sacred and healing nature of cannabis, realizing its potential was far greater when utilized as a whole plant. Neha: Oneness was born out of two key reasons. Firstly, pharmaceutical companies traditionally avoid working with the whole plant, necessitating the creation of a new category in the cannabis industry. Secondly, recognizing the lack of scientific expertise in the cannabis sector compared to pharmaceuticals, I sought to bridge this gap by integrating the advancements of pharmaceutical technology with the holistic approach of ancient plant medicine. Neha: My expertise lies in technology development, and my commitment revolves around working exclusively with full spectrum extracts, preserving the plant’s integrity as intended by nature. By selectively breeding plants to yield desired cannabinoids, we can maintain the integrity of a full spectrum extract without resorting to isolates. In fact, our Bright day product already emphasizes the inclusion of more CBG, catering to the diverse needs of consumers.
