In the rapidly evolving world of cannabis consumption, innovation takes center stage once again with the advent of DrawCheck, an ingenious product designed to address a long-standing challenge in the pre-roll industry. Drawing on their expertise in cannabis technology, RollPros has introduced a groundbreaking solution that ensures precise and consistent air flow in pre-rolls, regardless of variations in strains, batches, or production facilities. Drawcheck eliminates the guesswork and reliance on manual “alley tests” and offers brands an unprecedented level of control over the draw of their joints.

RollPros' DrawCheck represents a pivotal shift from traditional methods of assessing draw quality in pre-rolls. No longer will cannabis brands be left to rely on subjective judgments or manual trial-and-error. With this revolutionary product, RollPros empowers producers to achieve unparalleled consistency and accuracy when it comes to the air flow of their pre-rolls.

Kyle Loucks, the Founder and CEO of RollPros, has spearheaded the development of DrawCheck, positioning it as one of the first-of-its-kind technological advancements in the industry. In this exclusive interview, we explore the origins of DrawCheck, its potential to reshape the pre-roll market, and the broader implications it holds for the future of cannabis consumption. We also explore the various ways DrawCheck is poised to transform the landscape of pre-roll manufacturing, ensuring a standardized experience for cannabis enthusiasts across the globe.

Can you explain how DrawCheck's technology addresses the challenges of achieving precise and consistent air flow in pre-rolls across different strains, batches, or facilities?

What you said there about achieving precise and consistent air flow, that was exactly the problem that we needed to solve. The proper draw of a joint is a critical element to a good smoking experience. But there was no real way to achieve consistency with the many, many variations in product and other inputs during the pre-roll manufacturing process. As part of their QA process, most manufacturers had employees literally sucking on joints or out back having a smoke and giving either the thumbs up or thumbs down. That is clearly an unreliable way to measure anything. So what the DrawCheck does is provide an exact number, a true measurement of the draw of a joint. If you include the DrawCheck in the QA process, now you can ensure draw consistency from strain to strain, batch to batch, and so on.

What kind of impact do you foresee DrawCheck having on pre-roll manufacturers and their quality assurance processes?

Well the DrawCheck isn’t the fix, it’s a measurement tool… the manufacturers also need to have the right equipment that enables them to make changes based on what numbers they see with the DrawCheck. That’s why our customers use it in conjunction with their Blackbird units. They get their data from the DrawCheck, and then change the roll tension on their Blackbird to roll tighter or looser based on the readings. Having the right tools is half the battle, but the other half is using those tools effectively and properly. A Formula 1 car can only win races with an excellent driver. So what we’re doing is providing manufacturers an additional tool in their toolbox. It’s up to them to use it effectively.

How do you envision DrawCheck benefiting pre-roll brands in terms of product consistency and consumer satisfaction?

So much of QA is about consistency. And anyone that understands brand success will tell you that nothing turns away customers faster than an inconsistent product. A brand essentially makes a promise to a customer about what they are going to get, and if that isn’t delivered consistently every time the product is purchased, customers simply go elsewhere. They have a lot of options in this industry! One bad experience is enough to turn people away. If you want to be successful, that can’t happen.

Can you provide specific examples or testimonials from beta-testers that highlight the positive impact DrawCheck has had on their brands' success?

Chris Bechler, COO of Rebel Spirit Cannabis:

“We use the DrawCheck every day, and I would absolutely say that it is an essential piece of equipment that you must have if you are manufacturing pre-rolls, regardless of the type of automation.   Our first release of rollies that were manufactured on the Blackbird were too tight, and would not stay lit. Because of this, we upset quite a few of our loyal customers. Now that we have the Draw Check, the pre-rolls are rolled with the correct tension, which means they have the correct air flow, and anyone who tries them is won over.”

In what ways do you believe the advancement of technology, such as DrawCheck, will shape the future of the pre-roll product category and the overall cannabis industry?

Pre-rolls have always been known as a lower-quality product. Of course, that isn’t always true, but they have that reputation and in most cases it’s well-earned. Consumers have had to choose between convenience or quality. Pre-roll or roll your own joint. But as companies like RollPros provide more and better technology specific to this category, customers can finally get what the real promise of pre-rolls should be: convenience AND quality. We’re focused on one thing: quality pre-rolls for all. The DrawCheck is a big step towards that goal.
