Equipment

  • 1 Slow Cooker
  • Forks or Tongs (for shredding the pork)
  • 1 Ladle
  • 1 Measuring Cup
  • 1 Set of Measuring Spoons

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs Boneless Pork Shoulder (or pork butt)
  • 1 ½ cups Sliced Yellow Onion
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cups THC-infused Maple Bourbon BBQ Sauce (see our recipe below)
  • 8 Buns

Instructions

  • Prep the Pork
Mix 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika, 1 tbsp Brown Sugar, 2 tsp Garlic Powder, 1 tsp Kosher Salt, and 1 tsp Black Pepper in a small bowl. Rub generously all over the 3-4 lbs Boneless Pork Shoulder.
  • Layer It In
Place the 1 ½ cups Sliced Yellow Onion in the bottom of your slow cooker. Add the seasoned pork shoulder on top. Pour in ½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 cup Water around the sides.
  • Set and Forget It
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork shreds easily with a fork. (Avoid opening the lid during cooking, just let the magic happen!)
  • Shred the Pork
Remove the pork and place in a large dish. Shred the meat using two forks. Skim and remove any excess liquid from the slow cooker.
  • Sauce It Up
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker. Add 2 cups THC-infused Maple Bourbon BBQ Sauce, stirring well to coat. Let warm for 10–15 minutes on low before serving.
  • Assemble Your Sandwiches
Spoon a generous helping of saucy pulled pork onto each bun. Drizzle extra infused sauce for a stronger dose and bolder flavor.

Notes

Storage: Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Freezer-Friendly: Freeze extra pulled pork in a sealed container or freezer bag for up to 2 months. Thaw and reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave to preserve THC content.
Add Crunch: Top with tangy coleslaw or dill pickles for a burst of texture.
Bring the Heat: A drizzle of your favorite hot sauce or pickled jalapeños adds a spicy kick.
Get Cheesy: Melt a slice of sharp cheddar or smoked gouda over the pulled pork before serving.
Grill the Buns: Toasting the buns in butter or on the grill gives a crisp edge and rich flavor.
Layer the Flavors: Add crispy onions, avocado, or even a fried egg for a next-level bite.
This recipe brings the soul of summer straight to your plate. It is easygoing, flavorful, and elevated. Whether you're kicking back solo or feeding a crew, these THC-infused Bourbon BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches deliver the kind of slow-cooked satisfaction that makes warm-weather dinners unforgettable.
